Spine & Knuckle

What is Knuckle Deformity in the Spine?

Knuckle deformity is a sharp, angular kyphotic curve caused by collapse of a single vertebra—commonly due to spinal tuberculosis (Pott’s spine) in India, or less often from trauma, tumors, or infections. Clinically, it presents as a prominent hump over the spine where the damaged vertebra stands out.
