Spine & Instability

What is Spinal Instability?

Spinal instability occurs when the spine is unable to maintain its normal alignment and function, leading to pain and discomfort. This often manifests as lower back pain that worsens with routine movements like turning in bed, getting up, or straightening after prolonged sitting or bending. The condition arises when key supporting structures—such as the spinal discs, facet joints, and ligaments—are compromised. Much like a table with a damaged leg that starts wobbling, an affected spine struggles to provide stable support, resulting in nerve pain and movement difficulties.
