What Is Gibbus Deformity of the Spine?
Gibbus deformity is a sharp, angular form of kyphosis caused by collapse or damage to two or more vertebral bodies, resulting in a visible hump on the back. This spinal abnormality often resembles a camel’s hump and may arise due to spinal tuberculosis (TB), traumatic fractures, congenital hemivertebra, or spinal tumors.
